Fresh Summer Drinks

I found a few drink recipes in an old Food network magazine for some fresh summer drink and felt the need to share! Very simple and refreshing!

Blackberry Lemonade
Combine 2 cups of blackberries with 2 cups of simple syrup* in a pitcher.
Stir 2 cups of fresh lemon juice and 2 cups of water.
Add Ice and a few lemon slices.

Mint Limeade
Mix 2 lime wedges and some mint leaves in a glass. Drop in some ice cubes.
In a pitcher mix 2 cups of simple syrup* and 2 cups of water.
Dump in 1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice and 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice – poor into glass.

Cinnamon Grapefruit – Not a cinnamon fan, but this tasted very good!
Make 2 cups of simple syrup* and add 4 cinnamon sticks
Once cooled, pour into ice filled pitcher.
Add 2 cups of fresh grapefruit and 2 cups of water. Drop in some raspberries for some extra color and flavor.

Simple Syrup
Bring to a boil 1 1/2 cups of sugar and 1 1/2 cups of water. Stir until dissolved and let cool. (makes 2 cups)

My favorite was the Blackberry Lemonade.
